So complete is Bordeaux in terms of entertainments that it is often referred to as 'Little Paris'. One of the best, Cafe du Port, has views across the Garonne River and simple food cooked by a world renowned chef at reasonable prices. It is the Garonne River which has helped to make this such a fertile area, while the Gironde estuary is also not far away.
